Here we are debating the merits of software licenses.

I am thinking that maybe SQLITE had the right idea with public domain releases.

Should producers start a public domain software movement, and forget all about the various licensing arguments? We could come up with an ideology:

"If it isn't public domain it has strings and it isn't free."
